Just back from Stamperama. Although not a big show, it was well organised. We met Lynne today and had a nice chat about our latest parties. It always nice to meet people who you meet online. We bought some great stamps and also are going to register with Craft Inspirations as they are holding some classes that we are interested in whilst we are in their area.
Last night we had our first party. We were expecting 6 but in the end 10 turned up. The hostesss was brilliant and even laid on a very nice buffet. We demonstrated medallion cards and everyone who saw how to do them suddenly realised that they are so versatile. We did a prize draw and gave away 3 prizes. One lady had been given a heat tool for christmas but was too worried about using it, so we gave her the chance. She is now very confident about using it, and even ordered some embossing powder. We had great feedback and may even be able to convince another lady to be a demonstrator. Her reason not to at the moment is because she doesn't have a car, but she may be interested at a later date.
Due to the rain we did not go to Chessington yesterday. It is very cloudy today, but at the moment no rain.
We want to get more people to participate in craft. We are going to do that by making access to crafting easier, and show how easy crafting is. We offer training and workshops for any group no matter how small, even on an individual aspect.
